ARLINGTON HEIGHTS MEMORIAL DAY PARADE CANCELLED MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY MOVED INSIDE

Due to a forecast of a high probability of thunderstorms early Monday morning, the Arlington Heights Memorial Day Parade has been cancelled. The Memorial Day Ceremony has been moved indoors to ensure the safety of all participants.

The 2015 MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY will be moved inside to the Christian Liberty Academy gym starting at 11 am, located at 502 W. Euclid Ave. Arlington Heights. The Ceremony will follow the previously-planned program, indoors at Christian Liberty Academy.

Inside the gym of Christian Liberty Academy there will be seating in bleachers as well as hundreds of chairs on the floor.  A podium with microphone will be on stage, along with chairs for dignitaries and room for the 144th Army Band.  The 10 Wreath Presenters will follow the instructions of our Wreath Managers ; John Glueckert and Jim Platt.

The Honor Flag Unit will be present with banners and flags.  We will be directed as to where to stand once our unit arrives.  If you were a designated banner/flag carrier for someone and are NOT able to attend the ceremony, please contact Jackie Glueckert at 847-253-0168 as soon as possible so she can have your requested Veteran Banner represented by another volunteer.

The 58 Fallen Hero Wreaths will be displayed in front of the main stage.

Volunteers are still needed to wear banners and represent our Veterans. All requested banners will be present at the Ceremony. Please arrive by 10:15am at Christian Liberty Academy.

Jackie Glueckert of Glueckert Funeral Home, plans to have a table set up for banner and flag distribution near the Main Entrance of the school.
