Opioid Awareness is saving lives. Purple lights lit the sky in Arlington Heights.

Saturday August 31, a vigil for victims of Accidental Opioid overdoses took place at Glueckert Funeral Home. With their Sponsoring Partner Live4Lali, the vigil capped off a week of awareness events and Naloxone training sessions. This event, and events like these across the state have had a very positive impact and the number of accidental deaths from Opioid Overdoses has begun to decline. Even one is too many! We need the purple light to continue to shine brightly in our young people with so much to give. We’re dedicated to continuing to spread this awareness until the day when there is no need to have a vigil for who we’ve lost. Instead, we can focus and celebrate who we’ve saved!
