Kathy Borresen has experienced Pre-Planning funeral services personally with both of her parents. Her parents pre-arranged their services and her position as Chairwoman of the Environment & Arts Ministry at St. James Parish in Arlington Heights has occasionally offered her the opportunity share her experience with others.

During the arrangements for funeral planning or even Pre-Planning, the experience of selecting merchandise can be a very difficult one for families. Glueckert Funeral Home make it as comfortable as we possibly can. We have a very welcoming selection room where families can view full size displays of what they are choosing. We are there to serve our families by answering their questions and providing the information they need to make whatever selections they desire. Whether choosing caskets, vault enclosures, urns or any other merchandise, those decisions reside solely with the family. We even have a section devoted to Eco-Friendly options for families to view.

This portion of the arrangements is often a very difficult one. When the family of a loved one is ready, that’s when we proceed. But not until that time. Our family and our dedicated staff are committed to providing compassionate and professional service throughout the entire arrangement process, whether it is working with a family who have experienced a very painful recent loss, or pre-planning with an individual or a family. There are many choices that families need to make. It is our mission to make that process as comfortable as possible.
