Cremation is a disposition that offers a full array of options

You or your loved one may have decided that Cremation is your preferred choice of disposition.  You may not have considered memorializing that decision or choosing what other services you might prefer, beside Cremation itself. Cremation is a disposition, but often a more temporary or ‘not final’ disposition. The remains of your loved one will need to be in a final resting place at some point in time. Burial, Inurnment in a Columbarium, an honored space at home, niche, scattering of ashes in a special destination, etc. All of these options, and others, are options people frequently ask about. They also inquire about traditional visitations prior to cremation, funeral masses or committal services in worship spaces; indoors or outdoors. There are many choices available with Cremation. For instance, at Glueckert, families may take advantage of an Urn Carrying device to allow for 4 pallbearers to serve and accept the honor of escorting your loved one. 

 Families often follow the wishes of their loved ones in regards to their remains. Matthew offers some very helpful advice and a written instrument the Glueckert Family uses to make it easier for families and ensure the deceased member’s final wishes for disposition are carried out according to their wishes. He explains why it’s important to have these discussions beforehand, and have them recorded officially. Knowing precisely what  a loved one desires avoids confusion and difficulty. As important, it offers a family a sense of certainty that they have honored the wishes of their loved one.
